Pretty Boy

Branded by the words "too pretty to be a boy," Ray Winstrom seeks refuge from society's labels. Born to a widow, he longs to bond with the father who never knew of his existence. When his grandparents give him his dad's acoustic guitar as a birthday gift, he throws himself into the only connection he has with his dad. When Mason Davis moves in next door, he and Ray immediately bond. Despite Mason's apparent athleticism and Ray's fumbling habits, the two make a blood oath to be friends forever. But when junior high sweeps in, so do winds of change. For Ray, along with junior high, comes long hair and heavy metal music, and once again he finds himself under the scrutiny of society's labels and rules as Mason's teammates taunt him calling him "pretty boy." Will their friendship survive? Or will the ultimate test of their blood oath be far worse than a team of football players?
