Beskrivelse
What happens when a young girl starts to write to the President? Laura Post is the daughter of a coal miner from Allegiant City. For two years, she writes to David Grump, first when he is a long shot candidate and then as President. In her writing, the initially enthusiastic Laura finds that she influences Grump as he takes on her ideas as his own. The book pairs her monthly letters with David Grump's texts to Laura, some of his many tweets, as well as news items of the time. Laura draws on her life experiences and relationships to question and try to make sense of unfolding political events. The two very different worlds of Laura and Grump then collide with unexpected consequences. A present day political fantasy that raises questions about the type of world we are creating.
