Please Hear Us: The Collective Voice of SEND Families in Suffolk

"Please Hear Us" brings together a selection of real, true-life experiences, in the style of poems, letters, written passages and artwork, shared by parents, carers, family members, young people and children living in Suffolk who are affected by SEND and are experiencing the cold, hard impact of Suffolk's Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) systems, policies and procedures. Systems and procedures that are currently under scrutiny and in the opinion of many, including parents and families, not adequate and need to change; and fast!

Too many families have negative experiences whilst seeking support for their child with SEND and that must change. Please Hear Us has been written with an aim to create a positive change by raising awareness of families experiences in the hope that the negative experiences occurring now will change to more positive experiences for families in the future, as professionals gain an insight into what its really like for us, not just in Suffolk but countrywide, and other families realise "you're not alone"
