Pieces of an Abstract Hart: Poetry and Exhales

Written from ages 16-35, these are the exhales of the anger, hurt, grief, growth, strength, and redemption of my life. Though there are many negative emotions represented in the content of this book, I would like you, the reader, to understand that I am presenting moments of my past and heart with you. Only moments. Pieces. Broken or joyful, they were true of the time, and as humans, we have a right to those moments.

Several situations and individuals were the catalysts for the contents of this book. I am grateful for them all, positive and negative, for helping make me who I am today. I survived the things that I never thought I could. In fact, I came out stronger.
