Photo-Atlas of Bariatric Surgery

Given the increase of morbid obesity in developed countries, bariatric approaches have also exponentially increased in the last decade. Bariatric surgery is the best treatment to obtain a significant and maintained weight loss in morbidly obese patients. There is still controversy about which technique is the ideal one, and new approaches are emerging with this aim. Social demand has led many digestive surgeons to begin to perform bariatric approaches. In many cases, their formation is not enough in this field and they begin without adequate supervision; their only formation is often previous visualization of several online videos. The aim of this book is to provide the reader information about the techniques and the correct way to perform the procedure, illustrated step-by-step, by means of real photos. We hope that this book will help all new bariatric surgeons, starting with the adventure of bariatric surgery.
