Persevering Preacher

As half Gentile and half Jewish, Timothy struggled with his identity from an early age. The death of his disinterested father only propelled him to lean into the teachings of the Jewish religion passed to him by his grandmother and mother. Yet, he sensed something was missing. Tormented by the Gentile culture around him, Timothy did not fully embrace the identity of his faith until a man named Paul came into his life. As a father figure, the apostle Paul was God's chosen instrument to draw Timothy into the depth of truth which would ultimately define him. With opposition from his own body as well as those who sought to undermine the work of God, would Timothy have the perseverance necessary to continue along the path toward God's ultimate plan for his life? How could a timid man become the mighty preacher who roared truth like a lion? Timothy would spend his lifetime fighting the fear that thwarted his destiny. Would he find the perseverance in Christ to finish strong as a child of God not ashamed of His Word in a world that stood against it?
