In the eyes of many around her, Tahtianna could do no wrong and made no mistakes. Tahtianna was one to typically do well in everything she did, but hid the truths of her private life which led to pain. When life became overwhelming and Tahtianna attempted to share her struggle, she was dismissed by peers or family members. Tahtianna continued to dive in her troubles, hoping to find an escape in the midst of it. In Out of the Mouth of Shame, Tahtianna invites readers into her world from childhood to early adulthood, sharing how it has shaped her. Tahtianna shares key moments of shame, in her life, which assisted her in identifying the woman and person she would like to become. After experiencing hurt, betrayal, and abandonment, Tahtianna found herself taking on these characteristics and imposing them onto others. Out of the Mouth of Shame is an open expression of Tahtianna's path towards change and growth in her life, incorporating a small dose of poetry and reflective thoughts.
