The events of this novel took place in the sixties of the last century. It captures vivid scenes from what takes place during the college freshman year. It presents issues related to the coed after the gender segregated high school education. Some young people are reluctant to mixing with the opposite sex and try to justify that through many excuses. Some like to rush the romantic love saga and live its events. As of the females they are different from males in their comprehension of gender mix at the university level. Some girls they take the higher education seriously all what the care about is success and distinction. Others listen to their mothers and start planning to trap the future bridegroom. Yet the majority go through the college life quietly. If love comes their way, it would be a good start for a family home after graduation.

The story setup is in Alexandria, Egypt, however the events could be the same anywhere.

The author started writing about computers, programming and language and authored over 50 books among which children's books and computer games. He also wrote a collection of science fiction for the youth. Furthermore, his books include a book for teaching Arabic language for children who were born in English speaking countries to help speaking Arabic. This is in addition to helping foreign tourists understand and speak different Arabic dialects.
