Born out of serious illness and inspired by E.M. Forster's A Passage to India, David Jackman - ethicist, regulator, standard-setter - offers an autobiographical guide, packed with tools, frameworks, maps and a Charter, to help everyone along this 'necessary journey'.

 

It is a journey of an essential growing up, of human maturity, of building a whole that is worthwhile. But we find no pain, no gain. We must travel together, but the greater tragedy is not to journey at all.
