She classifies herself as a non-creative pessimist, and a non-believer of anything clairvoyant or supernatural, much unlike her vibrant best friend, Abbie. While she envies her parents for excelling at their creative professions, she always yearns for something more.

Eli Whitlock leads a much more complicated life. He works at Beans N' Books with Opal. He's known for his cheesy jokes that make Opal cringe on the daily. His family has a male line of psychics, him being one of them. He and his three cousins all possess different psychic abilities, passed down from their fathers and grandfather. A tragic event from Eli's past leaves him conflicted with whether he can let anyone besides his tight-knit family into his life.
