Jamie Standard is this close to closing one of the most important deals of his life-so close he can taste it. When a local Boston gossip columnist paints him as a notorious rake, it could torpedo everything he's worked for. Jamie exiles himself in Vegas, hoping a few weeks visiting his sister will give his business partners time to shore up the suddenly shaky deal. Coral Triton has reached the pinnacle of her career as a professional mermaid. She's headlining a live-action mermaid show at one of the hottest new hotels in Vegas, but she's also been tapped to help plan the set design and choreography. When the hot blond guy from the airport turns up at her hotel, Coral doesn't question her good fortune. But, she's in Vegas for a job-the job-not a guy, so she insists on only one night before bailing the next morning after a brief note and one last look.
