One Drink Too Many

Life is complicated and confusing, but when we add a sexual relationship to it, it's like walking a tight rope surrounded by Light & Dark, Good vs. Evil, a Yes today is a No tomorrow.

As people, we have many types of extremists, but in the sexual world, we have two extremes and the norm.

First, we have those that live above the tight rope, The Goodie Two Shoes. You know the type - our eyes first met in grade school, and we dated in high school. We attended the same college, leaders of the no sex before marriage club, married at 23, had multiple children, 'til death do we part. Never having the sexual experience of any other.

Then we have those that are below the tight rope, free to experience any and all sexual pleasures. Capable of inflicting pain and receiving it back. These extremists look upon sex as the total expression of passion, achieving different heights of orgasmic release with each partner or with each fetish involvement. The Goodie Two Shoes and the so-called "Normal" or non-sexual extremists call these free thinkers; scarlet women, womanizers, swingers, sluts, tramps, the unworthy, they look upon their acts of passion as dark sexual encounters.

While the rest of us fight every day to stay balanced on the tight rope. Forever banded from the light and occasionally dipping into the sexual darkness by trying a different position from the missionary or playing small roles or the use of some play toys and quickly pulling ourselves back up to the light.

For Geremy, he lives his life on the tight rope telling false tales of dipping into the sexual darkness. The more tales he would tell, the more believable they became. Until one night after one too many drinks, he encountered a sexual tale that was better than anything he could imagine. A tale dreamed up by the darkness, and it pulled him off the rope. His false sexual tales were quickly becoming his actual reality. Now his only chance to reach back and grab the tight rope is in the fate of a child.
