Described as a genius by some, John F. Taylor was a pioneer in aviation. He designed and built Britain's first post-war homebuilt aeroplane in his first floor flat in East London, garnering media attention nationwide. With affordability and simplicity being John's goal from the outset, the Taylor Monoplane proved so popular that he then went on to produce his second plane, the Taylor Titch.
