Beskrivelse
"Imagine Sisyphus happy" is the quote by Albert Camus that inspired this book. It took me to conceive of a meaningless life in terms of a self-centered direction and self-created meaning. Sisyphus, condemned to push his boulder up a mountain forever, only to never quite achieve that task, took upon himself (via Camus) to provide his own meaning to this meaningless, useless task, and embrace this task such that he actually thought it could be done. Not only that, but I imagined it one step further, to take that task to the highest mountain in our solar system, Olympus Mons, on Mars, and push that rock up its slopes. Why not? If you are going to do something like this, why not go for the highest goal, doing the best you can while you're at it. Sisyphus on Mars! It can be done. Sisyphus can do it. Sisyphus will do it. So, the poems in this volume are comprised of subjects that combine a little philosophy, a little science, a little science-fiction, and a little imagination. Imagine Sisyphus happy, indeed! Embrace the rock!
This volume is part of what is loosely described as the Life Series. But, as are all books in this series, it is a standalone volume. All books in this series can be read in any order.
