Old Green Lady

This short novel by Alicia Freilich draws up a collage of situations to offer the vision of the country in the late twentieth century, when there could be foreseen many situations and experiences that have concretized in the current century. She achieves this thanks to the mastery of a narrative and fun discourse that is held in the structure of the crime novel and the cultural dialogue she establishes with the folk songs, fairy tales and the different expressions that make up a multiple, complex reality. The reader will find many features and attitudes that are known or typical to him, the reader will feel the tragedy of the mudslide of Vargas, he will know the revelations that from the body and her wanderings makes a woman who has been branded as Old Green Lady and that holds many more secrets among its pages.
