Gabby King is the next great American tennis star. At a young age, she's already ascended to the number one ranking and now sits on the verge of her first grand slam trophy. But halfway through the championship match in Australia, she retreats to the locker room and disappears from the arena without a trace, leaving the entire sports world stunned and confused. The police call it a kidnapping. Fans call it a tragedy. But some, including members of Gabby's inner circle, believe the whole thing could be a publicity stunt gone awry.



Two journalists set out to solve the mystery and rescue the missing star. To do so, they'll need to treat everyone as a suspect, from Gabby's coach, to her rivals, to her tennis-obsessed family. But what if they're too late to save Gabby from her fate? Or what if the clues point to a new conspiracy, one never considered before?
