But, the Council of Women approaches them the day Tabitha the Gentle, Myriel's beloved mother, is laid in her grave.

 

The Council tasks the pretty maids with a quest, one that will test their wits and strength – both of which they lack. Good fortune is with them when they are granted entrance to the Glade of Steeds. Great fortune is with them when tall and handsome warrior with amnesia joins their group.
