Nel Solco Di la Pira

The book is the first collection of witnesses on Vittorio Peri (Gorizia 1932 - Roma 2006), who was Postulator of the cause of beatification of Giorgio La Pira. Besides of the texts written by Mario Primicerio, Francesca Peri Minuto e Umberto Santarelli, the volume collects the speeches delivered by the speakers who took part in the meetings (organised by don Carlo Zaccaro on January 2009 and March 2010) whose title was Giorgio La Pira e Vittorio Peri: due laici testimoni del Vangelo (Giorgio La Pira e Vittorio Peri: two lay witnesses of the Gospel).Going through the pages of this booklet, one realizes how rich is the cultural and spiritual heritage that is entrusted to the ones that had the privilege of meeting Giorgio La Pira. Vittorio Peri has not had a particularly close friendship with La Pira, but nevertheless he understood his message and was capable of undertaking in an outstanding way the difficult mission of being Postulator of his Cause of Beatification.The contributions collected in this book originate from opportunities that were offered by the discrete initiative of Don Carlo Zaccaro: primarily as a priest he was capable of understanding thoroughly the importance of the lay spirituality and of its specific role in our society.
