My Reflections

This book of poems is very accessible but still multilayered. It will evoke many emotions and remembrances when read. The author writes about a variety of subjects including nature, places, seasons, and feelings. She has an eye for things past and present. College days, decades ago, make up a section of poems where Patricia lets the reader know what it was like to go to a private girls' college in the South. You will laugh at humorous poems about all kinds of bugs and jelly roll cakes.Patricia's poetry will move you and cause the reader to think about the subjects in new ways.Patricia Cruzan has been published in national and regional magazines, newspapers, and anthologies. She is a member of SCBWI, Writers Circle and the Georgia Writers Association(GWA). In 2008, she won the GWA Poetry Contest, sponsored by Kennesaw State University, as the Poet of the Year. In 2009, she placed second overall in writing.
