Beskrivelse

This book endeavours to make available to the general public, youth in particular, materials for reflection relating to the political evolution of Faso. The period he is dealing with was murky, complex and controversial. It brought to light the differences that were undermining the army. The cleavage, which appeared under the military recovery committee for national progress (CMRPN), opposed the so-called Progressive officers and those called Conservatives. Member of the group of Progressives, Jean-Baptiste Ou draogo, had to assume, against his will, the presidency of the People's Salvation Council (CSP) which overthrew the (CMRPN), on November 7, 1982. An excellent paediatrician, working outside the military field, he had no troops to command. Also, can we legitimately wonder what the doctor-commander went to look for in this galley? The reader will find in his writing possible answers to this question. This new emergency regime was a shaky compromise between so-called Progressive and so-called Conservative officers. This unstable balance could not last. Thus, on May 17, 1983, the clash between the two groups made the country aware of upheavals which would lead to August 4, 1983. By this writing, the commander Jean-Baptiste Ou draogo breaks with the famous Secret Defense which many officers like to wallow in deafening silence on information relating to the political evolution of the country. He already did this at the conference on the Hundred Years of History in Burkina Faso. Everyone is aware that the Big Mute has been an important political actor in our country since January 03, 1966. From this date, up to the present day, the army is omnipresent in the major political events of Faso. The appreciation of certain situations would be quite different if certain information were known to the general public. His example, in our modest opinion, should be followed by his comrades in arms, both old and young. This work responds to the concerns of the populations, especially the young fringe who largely ignore the past of their country. November 7, 1982, May 17, 1983 and August 4, 1983 are eminently significant dates in the tumultuous history of our country. As the author says, this book is his Part of Truth. The information and / or other Revelations that he delivers are materials that feed the thinking of teacher-researchers, students and the general public. Knowledge of the past, even a recent one, allows young people, especially young people, to reclaim their memory, understand the situation they are experiencing and be aware of the challenges to be faced in building their future. It's a different story than that played by other actors on the same events. My part from the Truth proves, if need be, that confronting the facts can bring out the truth. May this book support our collective quest for weapons to build a Burkina of good governance, social justice, equity, freedom and solidarity?
