My Father

This book is about the most simple man yet the most extraordinary of men, my father, Joseph John Gedden. He was a simple man in the best meaning of the word. He didn't complicate life. He knew why he was here and what he lived for. He knew he was here to know, love, and serve God all the days of his life, and to love his family and every person whom God has created. This he did with joy. He was extraordinary because every person felt special in Dad's presence. His careful listening, his understanding, his terrific sense of humor, endeared him to his beloved wife, our Mom, Katherine, and to all of his children and grandchildren. He had deep inner peace, the peace that only God can give.
