My Diary Rhymes

Before I even knew how to write, I was always telling stories. I saw looking to show my creativity any way I could. When I was first introduced to poetry in sixth grade, I knew I found a life-long love. Because I have been writing poetry for so long, my poems serve as a time capsule, a diary of my life. They aren't only examples of where I was emotionally, but also where I was in my development as a writer. Looking back, I can see the rise and fall of different rhyme schemes, phrases, and structural elements in my poetry. In this book, you can follow my journey from the age of eleven to today, at twenty-seven. So much has happened, it's hard to look back without feeling sentimental and proud of the journey I've been on.
