Murder in Motion

Darla Ballinger is departing from Chicago on a trip to San Francisco aboard the Gold Rusher, Alabaster Train Co.'s newest homage to a past era of train travel. When Mr. Barnes turns up murdered in the lounge car, Darla (and best friend, Theda!) must work to find out who killed Mr. Barnes, searching among the passengers and crew for a likely suspect. Unfortunately, their job is far from easy as they wade through interviews and searches of compartments, trying to figure out who did it and why. Their efforts turn up some surprises and some suspicious - not to mention dangerous - characters. Was Mr. Barnes the target of a specific operation, or are the lives of everyone on board the Gold Rusher at risk?
