Beskrivelse
Written just 84 years before Neil Armstrong stepped on the moon, this book is a collection of moon lore: myths, folklore, superstitions and a contribution to the literature of light. The first part in this book is mythological and the original nucleus around which the other parts have gathered. The second part deals with moon-worship and shows that anthropomorphism and sexuality have been the principal factors in that idolatry which in all ages has paid homage to the hosts of heaven. The third part treats of lunar superstitions. And finally the fourth part is a literary essay on lunar inhabitation and the enigma of "The Plurality of Worlds."
