Beskrivelse

Moments: Healing Poems for the Journey Home is Michael Brant DeMaria's first published collection of poetry written between the years 1993 and 2004, and first published in 2009. This is the second edition being re-released at the same time with with DeMaria's second edition of his book of prose Ever Flowing On: On Being and Becoming Oneself, and the first edition of his newest work Peace Within: Clear Your Mind, Open Your Heart, Embrace Your Soul and Heal Your Life being. These poems document his journey of his first vision fast and soul initiation in the wilds of Montana and Alberta, with his experience at such places as Two Medicine and Glacier National Park, to guiding wilderness based rites of passage and solstice dances. The poetry that emerged during this decade was deeply influenced by his encounter with Native American culture and playing the Native American styled flute, which he has become well known for and figure prominently in his many recordings. Moments is divided into 5 parts: Being Moments, Twilight Moments, Journey Moments, Earth Moments and Human Moments. DeMaria dedicates the book to, "All who dwell or seek to dwell in the pure possibility and divinity of this moment."
