1930s Los Angeles...the City of Celluloid Dreams...and Murder Hard-working pulp fiction writer, Walter Young, has enough to worry about with the next deadline looming without being concerned with real-life mysteries visiting his doorstep. But that's just what happens in this series of seven stories of mystery and suspense: -Was Nolan Davis' death a suicide, or a carefully orchestrated murder? -A famous film director who wants to shoot one of Walter's screenplays is found dead in his home with a score of suspects. -Walter falls for a Hollywood starlet doomed for death. -Why is Walter being roped into being a witness to a death that is supposedly "natural causes?" -A fellow pulp writer claims to have written the most important book since the Bible. Is this a con, or the real thing? -MGM fixer, Eddie Mannix, recruits Walter to find a killer in the writer's room at the famous film studio. -Walter is willed a dossier on two men who may have killed a Spanish-speaking film star.
