Mark and Megan Sisson had always dreamed of having a family and leading a typical American family existence. After years of unsuccessful attempts to have a biological child of their own they realized that adoption is the only available avenue for them. Luckily, they find the ideal child in a mysterious orphanage not far from where they reside; an orphanage they hadn't realized existed. All of their hopes and dreams are fulfilled when they adopt their darling son, Michael. Michael is a very special child, born from unusual circumstances to a family with an evil and macabre past and an even more sinister outlook for the future of the world.
