The Vacation in St. Alaince is an adventure series that tells the stories of high school students Jack and Mickey. The first book, Melvillecrash, The Book of Witchcraft, plunges them into a mission involving witchcraft.

Every summer vacation, high school students Mickey Dobins and his cousin Jack-son of Mickey's uncle-reunite in the sleepy American town of St. Alaince. And every summer, Jack arrives with a new, wacky plan, which inevitably leads to trouble. This year, the plan is more ambitious than ever: a "Satan Hunt" to enslave the Prince of Darkness and acquire supernatural abilities through witchcraft.

Despite Mickey's initial reluctance, he's eventually swayed by Jack's infectious enthusiasm. Their quest leads them to a deserted island in the river, where they attempt to cast their spells...
