Entheogens allow a person to step outside the normal mental activities of the conscious mind and go into other areas in the cranium, such as the pineal gland. Entheogens offer healing and spiritual awakening, they can offer the ego death, cosmic consciousness, Self-Realization, and God Realization. "Entheogen" is a newer word used in place of "psychedelic" in order to differentiate their use as medicines. This removes the stigma associated with the term "psychedelic" and helps people give proper respect and honor to these Plant Teachers.
