Madness to Magic is a raw and honest memoir that attempts to shine light on the undercurrents of madness and instability that lurks in the unacknowledged corners of our psyche. Arthur shares his brushes with the mental health system and the terrifying atmosphere that these institutions often create for those in an unstable state of consciousness. Through his experiences of being committed to several mental hospitals we get a glimpse of what it is like to live in the head of one going through intense inner turmoil as well as reality breaking psychosis. In addition we watch Arthur travel around the world to Brazil, Japan, and Peru in search of alternative healing methods and perspectives on his experiences.
