Mad Spicy Resto: A Story of Social Entrepreneurship

Dragon Tale is a story about sea animals struggling to survive in an environment where some species of the animals collaborated with greedy human beings to exploit sea animals for money. The story shows the interplay between Kuda (a seahorse) and the villain, Mason (a dolphin), and other sea animals, and how Kuda and friends managed to collaborate with some responsible humans to save the sea animals by creating a social enterprise that operates as a marine park in the ocean. The social enterprise empowered sea animals that were previously deemed to be useless and helped them find their own talents and worked together in the social enterprise.

Concepts about social enterprise are introduced and weaved in the story and lessons from the mistakes in running the social enterprise are discussed seamlessly, with a number of reflection pages to summarize key points in the story at different sections of the story. This comic includes lessons on managing a social enterprise, including how to transform social problems into business opportunities that benefit the society, beneficiary identification, pricing strategy, product development strategy, demand management, and cross sector collaborations across animals and human beings. We include reflection pages that summarize key points learned in the different stages of the story - from the lens of the narrator.
