'Lying Down' is the semi-autobiographical account of angst ridden Billy Fielding who can only quell his anxieties by engrossing himself in writing. Join Billy as he struggles to find his place in a world that he sometimes finds a hard place to get by in. The book delve into the realms of anxiety, bipolar and alcohol abuse in a an in-depth analysis of this confused writer as he juggles his life between journalism, becoming an author with alcohol slowly eating away at him. Billys' story begins with him as a shy and nervous young man with a passion for writing. As his life progresses he pursues his writing by becoming a journalism student at university. It is here that he begins to find his place in the world but does so with the assistance of alcohol which both calms him whilst fueling his racing mind. His story is not doom and gloom or a bed of roses. It lays somewhere on the positive side of these two factors.
