FBI Field Agent Annabella De Luca is climbing up the career ladder trying to make director of the FBI replacing her boss Will Jenkins who is set to retire at the end of the year. Annabella has been chasing down the most notorious drug king pin worldwide, because finding this man would secure her position as Director of the FBI. Annabella has been traveling all over the United States and many countries looking for Salvatore Giordano for the last 18 years. The FBI has increased his reward money more than any other wanted criminal promising to payout $225 million for any information leading to his arrest. Salvatore Giordano is responsible for over 420 murders and drugs in every state and country.

Salvatore is known to own homes in New York, Maryland, Washington D.C., California, Italy, Alaska and Brazil. The agency has came close to catching him three times, but before they could apprehend him he was long gone and off the grid for another 5 years. Annabella's life has consisted of working and going straight home. She has focused on nothing else but excelling at her position as a FBI Agent. She has not gone out on a date in over ten years. Has never been married and doesn't have any kids. Vanessa her best friend has been trying to get her social life back on track as she reminds her you can't dedicate your life to your career because it's a lonely life.

Her friend Vanessa and their mutual co-workers have finally forced her out one Friday night for dinner, drinks and dancing. While out at the club, Annabella is approached by Javier Lopez who has asked for a dance, and managed to wine and dine her all night long. They exchange numbers and see each other three times a week. But Javier is not really Javier, it's Salvatore. He has never used his real name in person, and the FBI never knew what he looked like. For months now they have been dating and have been very intimate with neither one of them aware that they shouldn't be together.

Just as Salvatore is ready to propose to Annabella, he finds out she works for the FBI and has been leading the task force to capture him. He thinks she is out to capture him.
