Beskrivelse
What would you do if you woke up married to a famous rockstar, with no memory of the night before – and the paparazzi all over you? With witty dialogue and the perfect happily ever after, Lick is a sweet and spicy rock'n'roll romance from Kylie Scott.
Evelyn Thomas's wish for an incredible twenty-first birthday in Las Vegas is truly granted when she wakes up next to a very attractive, half-naked, tattooed man – rockstar David Ferris – with no clue how it all happened.
With a massive diamond ring on her finger as the only evidence of her actions, she is left to face the music – and try to get an annulment. But with the invasive presence of the press, Evelyn and Davis are forced to spend time together. Will she get the annulment? Or will she find herself falling for his charm?
One thing is for certain: being married to rock and roll's favourite son is sure to be a wild ride . . .
Though it can be read as a standalone, Lick is the first entry in the thrilling Stage Dive series. The rock'n'roll steam continues in book two, Play.

Rating: 4.5 QUOTE: “Love isn’t always smooth or straightforward. It can be messy and painful … Doesn’t mean it isn’t still the most incredible thing that can ever happen to you.” Lick is an addictive read and the perfect book if you are crushing on rock stars. The book had everything I love: A funny and 'speak before thinking' kind of heroine, a swoony rock star male lead, funny side characters, drama, a strong plot, a captivating writing style, sexy times, and of course a pretty cover! Captivating I was hooked by this book immediately. I knew it was a winner when I read this (on page 2 of the book, just saying): He had long, dark hair falling past his shoulders and sideburns. His eyes were the darkest blue. They couldn't be real. Frankly, those eyes were overkill. I'd have swooned perfectly fine without them. It's such a clever line, and I knew that with funny comments like that I was going to loove the book. The plot was really strong, and the characters were lovable. Ev was really relatable, and I loved being in her head. However, it would have been nice to read some chapters from David's POV. I really would have liked to know what was going on in that pretty head of his. Mal was my favorite person. EVER. I loved David, but really, my favorite person was the drummer of the band: MAL!! He was so funny, and though we didn't really get to see his swoony side in this book, I can just imagine him being swoony. So I'm so excited to read the next book, which will be his book. YAY! Mal made me laugh out loud and giggle like an idiot. QUOTE: I stepped away from the wall and tried to put on a happy face. It didn't work. "Hi." "She says that so well." Mal turned to me and winked. He was also a really nice guy and a good friend. In the beginning he was the only one who was nice to Ev, and when she needed a friend, he was there for her, even though he didn't really know her. It was so nice, and it melted my heart a little bit. QUOTE: "You kidnapped a girl. That's awesome but illegal, Davie. You're probably going to have to give her back." My hair was lifted and Mal appeared, crouched beside me. "Hey there, child bride. Where's my hello kiss?" The drama With these kind of books I expect drama. LOTS of drama! It is to be expected when the book is about rock stars, glamorous livestyles and epic parties. So bring on the jealousy, misunderstandings and heartbreak. I'm ready. Lick fulfilled some of my expectations about drama, but not all. There weren't a lot of misunderstandings, and Ev and David were actually really good at communicating. It was really refreshing, and it made me hug my book instead of wanting to throw it into a wall. However, when the drama came, it was kind of anti-climatic. I wanted more. Everything was resolved a bit too quickly and easily for my taste. Verdict I loved this book, and would highly recommend it to people who like crushing on rock stars.
