1:1 Au commencement ?tait la Parole, et la Parole ?tait avec Dieu, et la Parole ?tait Dieu.

1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

1:2 Elle ?tait au commencement avec Dieu.

1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.

1:3 Toutes choses ont ?t? faites par elle, et rien de ce qui a ?t? fait n'a ?t? fait sans elle.

1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

1:4 En elle ?tait la vie, et la vie ?tait la lumi?re des hommes.

1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

1:5 La lumi?re luit dans les t?n?bres, et les t?n?bres ne l'ont pas re?ue.

1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

1:6 Il y eut un homme envoy? de Dieu, nomm? Jean.

1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

1:7 Il vint pour servir de t?moin, pour rendre t?moignage ? la lumi?re, afin que tous crussent par lui.

1:7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

1:8 Il n'?tait pas la lumi?re, mais il a ?t? envoy? pour rendre t?moignage ? la lumi?re.

1:8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
