Beskrivelse
Land of the Living is a riveting psychological thriller from the acclaimed Top Ten bestselling author, Nicci French
You wake in the dark, gagged and bound. A man visits you, feeds you. And tells you that he will kill you - just like all the rest.
Abbie Devereaux doesn't know where she is or how she got there. She's so terrified she can barely remember her own name - and she's sure of just one thing: that she will survive this nightmare.
But even if she does make it back to the land of the living, Abbie knows that he'll still be out there, looking for her. And next time, there may be no escape . . .

I would give this book 4 stars mostly because it is generally in my taste and written in a style which as fast an funny. The language is easy-to-read and in a light tone, making strong use of a first person narrator. However, this can make the story slightly too linear and a bit confusing, though this can be a technique used to underline the creeping terror and uncertainty of our heroin. She wakes bound, scared and in blinding darkness, manages to escape but the real terror - and the story- truly begins here. This makes the Mystery/crime/detective story stand out among the variety were the story ends when the crime is done. It is the mystery part that keeps the reader wanting more, and the details which confuses the herion and drives her: What happened? Were is my car? why will no-one believe me? And the ending is cool :)
