Shattering the stereotypes of the conventional espionage thriller La Morena is a tale of young spies and old poetry.As the Iron Curtain crumbles and the former Yugoslavia collapses into lawless anarchy, four special agents cross the border from Italy. Raised in an orphanage the ten-year-old La Morena is taken to be trained as a secret agent and conditioned as a cold-blooded killing machine. As an adult her firm and sensuous body is a weapon every bit as dangerous as the gun or knife in her hands. La Morena tells the story of the killing machine's journey of self discovery over fifteen years: from her emotional awakening in the arms of a handsome Italian Policeman and murderous mayhem across the Slovenian border, the search for her lost past in Franco's Spain and the war on terror in contemporary Afghanistan.

As the naïve, but deadly girl matures into the experienced, but no less deadly woman we get to meet Italian prostitutes, double-crossing agents, Russian Mafiosi, retired special agents, brainwashed terrorists and a truck driving Spanish rapist who has his ear chewed off quite literally!

Beneath the cold and calculating surface, the inner beast of La Morena is awakened, only to fully emerge, spitting and savage in the final spine tingling chapter.
