Beskrivelse

A young woman washes ashore on an island that hovers between the archaic and the modern. She has no memory of who she is.

Because she is unmarked, belonging to none of the three factions on the isle, brutal Warlord Kultur holds her prisoner until he can discover who she is and what her agenda may be. He wants her and is cruel and ruthless to Sislla when she denies him.

Sislla, as they name her, is in dire danger as the deadly Iminims are coming from across the sea. They come to war, and they will kill any who are unmarked. For a stranger to become marked, they must have sexual relations with a marked person on three golden moons.

Kultur's mother insists either he tosses Sislla back to the ocean and let her fare on her own, or have one of the village warriors mark her thereby protecting all the people from detection.

But, Kultur has an issue with that. He decides he will be the one to mark his captive. The problem is, Sislla refuses to be marked. Once marked she can never leave the island and her instinct is urging her to return to the sea and find her home.

The menacing Iminims are coming. What will the fearsome Kultur do, save his people, or save Sislla against her will?
