Beskrivelse
Kitewing is a story of adventure. It is written for older children to early teens, but it is a fun read for all ages. The story is about a small group of people trapped in a deep valley. Outside of the valley, there are strong winds that blow every day. The children of the village use their kitewings to glide in these ferocious winds out in the larger, red-walled canyon. With natural resources depleting and a rebel leader trying to take control of the village, the main character is driven to explore outside of their protected valley for a new location. Along with his trusted friend, he faces unknown dangers outside of the valley; he finds the original colonizing spaceship and also his missing father. Together they explore the far reaches of the canyon, always fighting the strong winds that blow. They learn more information about the planet they live on and finally a new colonizing location for the people. Together they must find a way to relocate the entire village before the people lose hope for their future and the rebel force takes control.
