Kirtland's Warblers

The Kirtland's Warblers is a delightful children's book created in honor of this special songbird and the Michigan Festival that carries its name. The Festival is an annual event in the small town of Roscommon, Michigan, located in the Northeastern portion of the Lower Peninsula. Children will easily connect with author Richard Rensberry's the rhyme and the book's beautiful illustrations by wildlife illustrator Linda Faith Widing, both local residents along with the warblers themselves. Nursed back from the verge of extinction, the Kirtland's warbler is now thriving in the jack pine forests around Roscommon and other nearby communities.
