Beskrivelse
Tokyo. A group of engineers is designing a chip called Kaishin that, when implanted in the brain, would allow consciousness to be shared between minds. It is almost completed. A recent college graduate named Reiko has been hired by the team's charismatic leader to conduct psychological experiments with the chip, using rats. At the same time, America has silently invaded Japan under the leadership of Karma, a computer program that has replaced the role of America's government, and Karma has taken a particular interest in the Kaishin Project... Now, the engineers are torn between a desire to complete Kaishin and to disrupt the plans of the Americans. Even though Reiko is not officially a member of the team and doesn't understand the technology, the decision will ultimately be hers: Us or Them.
