Journey to the Cross

When Jesus of Nazareth was nailed to a Roman cross, a very long journey came to an end. This journey began in eternity past as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit set Their hearts on that cross and began working toward it. That work can be traced through the promises, prophecies, and types of the Old Testament. It finally brought the Son from the glories of heaven to this earth, where He steadily approached that cross and there secured eternal salvation for His people.

In these days in which so many seem inoculated against amazement, Journey to the Cross urges us to ponder again the planning that led Jesus to the cross and what He accomplished there. The spiritual renewal we so urgently need will must begin with renewed interest in the cross of Christ.
