John Glassco

Winner of the "Award of Merit: The Best of the '80s" (Society of Graphic Designers). He was a gigolo in a Paris brothel and caused a scene at a Gertrude Stein party. He was Mayor of Foster in Qu bec's Eastern Townships. He wrote the novels Fetish Girl and The Temple of Pederasty. Sutherland's opening essay provides a biographical sketch of the Governor-General-Award-winning poet and translator, as well as an appreciation of him as a stylist, written with great affection for the work and the person.
