Ashe Cooper, having inherited mysterious powers seeks to learn about his new role as Jhalain Asclepiodotus. He and his best friend and newly-appointed guardian, Eddie must cross over time and dimensions to learn what they must about their new abilities . . . and to meet Ashe's long-absent mother, the Lady Casseira from whom he received his "gifts." Once there, they find that all is not as it appears and they must face conspiracies, ward off wicked spells and fight a beast of un-imagined horror. With the help of a young girl and her brother, an off-beat young man named Jamie, and of course, his ever-present and loyal guardian, Ashe must unravel the mysteries and use his powers to save not just this dimension, but his and Eddie's lives in the process.
