Jezábel and the Assassin

J ron Rameau, AKA the Silent Death, has set the scene for a covert mission when he finds a young woman draped almost lifeless on a horse trespassing in his woods. Not knowing if the woman has been sent to spy on him, or kill him, J ron holds her captive until he can find out who she is and what her agenda is. But, J ron does minister to her injuries, introduces her to the unusual farm animals that are his cover, and he saves her from a band of rapacious bandits. By the time J ron and Keyleigh realize they have fallen for each other, Keyleigh is again snatched by Mandrake, the very person J ron had been sent to stop from assassinating a diplomat.
