Beskrivelse
J ron Rameau, AKA the Silent Death, has set the scene for a covert mission when he finds a young woman draped almost lifeless on a horse trespassing in his woods. Not knowing if the woman has been sent to spy on him, or kill him, J ron holds her captive until he can find out who she is and what her agenda is. While attending an ambassador's party, Keyleigh St. James was abducted by Maximillion Mandrake. Now, after managing to escape Mandrake's lascivious clutches, she is injured, starved, and unconscious when the horse she's stolen inadvertently wanders onto J ron's property. When Keyleigh regains consciousness and comprehends her precarious situation, she doesn't dare tell J ron her identity as her family is in danger. He treats her mean enough as it is. But, J ron does minister to her injuries, introduces her to the unusual farm animals that are his cover, and he saves her from a band of rapacious bandits. By the time J ron and Keyleigh realize they have fallen for each other, Keyleigh is again snatched by Mandrake, the very person J ron had been sent to stop from assassinating a diplomat. Will J ron get there in time to prevent the assassination, and apprehend Mandrake before he flees the country with Keyleigh? This is a stand-alone, HEA novel.
