Beskrivelse

Fifteen years ago, Jeremy Finnegan saved Noel Welsh from drowning then revived her with CPR. That one selfless act changed his life forever. He's been chasing that feeling ever since.

Noel has almost no memories of that day, but the drowning still haunts her nightmares. When she meets Jeremy again, she nearly collapses looking into the very eyes that plague her dreams. He tells her she died that day, a fact her overprotective parents had kept from her. Jeremy is now a renowned atheist speaker. He sympathizes with her question about an afterlife but asserts with conviction his belief that no one is out there listening. As Noel's memories return and the undeniable connection between them grows, she comes to know with certainty his assertions are not true.

What Others Say About This Book:

Christine Anderson demonstrates an incredible talent for drawing readers in from the very first page. Her storytelling is descriptive, immersive, and emotionally charged, making it nearly impossible to stop reading. In this powerful, fast moving narrative Anderson explores the raw, often painful, terrain of human relationships-both romantic and familial-with striking honesty and depth.

What makes this story resonate is its authenticity. The characters don't just face dramatic obstacles for the sake of plot-they wrestle with personal trauma, confront longstanding family tensions, and navigate the fragile yet redemptive nature of love, both human and divine. Through it all, Anderson weaves in a meaningful and compelling exploration of faith, not as a simple solution but as a deeply personal and evolving force that shapes the characters' journeys. This novel is a heartfelt and thought-provoking read, perfect for anyone who appreciates character-driven stories with emotional weight and spiritual depth.

-Jonathan Camiolo, Pastoral Associate, Church of Christ the King

I never cried over a preface before. What an opening! I was immediately captivated by this story. I absolutely loved this book and found myself at the end wanting to go back and read it all over again!

-Susan Novalis, Volunteer Eucharistic Minister for Hospital Visitations
