Beskrivelse
A collection of short stories written by residents of Willamette View, a non-profit retirement community in Portland, Oregon. Stories like these often come to light over the lunch or dinner table, or at other get-togethers that fill our hours with much joy. The memories and events document happenings in the long personal and professional lives of residents, including childhood memories, remarkable coincidences, a phone call from the White House, analysis of the Nixon tapes, and the naming of the Ebola virus. The title of this book, Inspiring the Art of Living Well, is the motto of the Willamette View retirement community. This volume follows two previous collections of short stories by residents, Ordinary People, Extraordinary Days (2013) and More than Gray Hair and Glasses (2014). The Willamette View websites are at http: //www.willametteview.org and http: //www.wvresident.org
