Impact of Social Media on the political Socialization of the Students

No sphere of life can be exempted from the impact of the latest technologies. Each aspect of life, like statecraft, administration, education, etc., has been influenced by current advanced technologies. Media is also subject to an influential mode of it. Knowledge of political system, civic sense and political accountability are effective tools to make students capable enough to take part actively in politics of the country. Social media is playing a significant role for providing a particular platform for all including students for the growth of political socialization in them. We have conducted this study to find out the impact of social media on political socialization of students of the Gomal University, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.
