I Rot

The girls of I Rot believe in redemption, time and time again. Set in decaying tourist towns and motels off the I-95, the girls grow up with ghosts- touching haunted dolls in antique stores, inciting religious fervor on the playground, falling for boys with sharp teeth. At the heart of it all is the story of the girls just trying to do their best, coming of age in the Rapture.







Lana Valdez is a Florida-raised poetess and sometimes filmmaker living in Southern California. Her work has appeared in Dream Boy Book Club, Spectra, High Horse, Expat, and others, and her short films and music videos are on her YouTube channel. She enjoys writing about the eschatological and the hungry.
