I Am Power: Volume 1

For many years, I had found myself at the place of helplessness. Here I was an only child to affluent parents with bank-breaking degrees and pedigree. I could have anything I wanted, and they did provide to the best of their ability. I attended private schools and even boarding houses. I had a very powerful father, whose name linked with connections to the highest of heights. My mother was the head of her department at a Government University. She knew people in high places, especially in the educational system. I had no reason to want or lack for anything. Then life happened!!! I found myself grappling for housing, desperate for children, felt too inadequate to graduate, sick from a spinal disease, restrained by religiosity and culture, regressed by childhood wounds, married but unhappy, workaholic but broke. I couldn't understand how a person from such a powerful background could become so powerless. I then discovered that my power had nothing to do with whom I knew or what I assumed. Power was already in me, but because I had given away my power to so many people and for so long, I was rendered powerless when I needed power the most. This book is about how I took my power back.
